French Hooks with Coil and Ball
French hooks with coil and ball are a popular choice for jewelry makers, adding a secure and decorative element to earrings. The coils help to prevent the earrings from slipping out of the earlobe inadvertently, and the ball at the base of the french hook provides a decorative element that can be used to attach beads, charms or other embellishments to the earrings.

-
Shepherds Crook Style Ear Wire
The shepherd's crook style ear wire is a common type of earring hook that is often used in jewelry making. This type of ear wire is named for its resemblance to the crook used by shepherds to guide their flock, as it has a long, curved wire that hooks through the earlobe.

-
Flat French Hooks
Flat French hooks are similar to traditional French hooks, but the front portion is flat, providing a more stable base for attaching beads or other decorative elements. The flat portion also helps prevent the earring from tipping forward or falling off the earlobe.

-
Earring Hooks for Cabochon
Earring settings with a flat tray that you can add various cabochons to create personalized and unique earrings.

-
Earring Hooks with Pinch Bail
The pinch bails make it easy to attach beads, pendants, or charms to earring hooks. You can mix and match different beads or charms to create unique and personalized earrings.

-
Earring Hooks for Half Drilled Beads
Using earring hooks for half-drilled beads is easy. Simply add glue to the pin and insert the pin to the half-drilled beads.

-
Ball End Circle Ear Wire
Ball end circle ear wires are made from a thin wire bent into a loop with a ball at the end. The open loop is ideal for dangling charms, chains and other beaded adornments.

-
Marquise V-shaped Wire Earring Hooks
Marquise earring hooks with a V-shaped design are versatile. They can be used for dangle earrings, chandelier earrings and statement earrings.

Difference Between Ion Plating (IP) and PVD Vacuum Plating
Difference Between Ion Plating (IP)
and PVD Vacuum Plating
Our stainless steel jewelry undergoes three types of electroplating processes: PVD vacuum plating, ion plating (IP), and water electroplating. Vacuum plating, also known as physical vapor deposition (PVD), is a surface treatment technology. This process involves evaporating or sputtering metal or non-metal materials under vacuum conditions and depositing them onto the surface of the object to create a thin film. PVD technology includes various coating methods, with ion plating (IP) being one of them. Ion plating (IP) is a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process that is sometimes called ion assisted deposition (IAD) or ion vapor deposition (IVD) and is a modified version of vacuum deposition.
The thickness of the plating layer is influenced by the electroplating process and duration. The longer the plating time, the thicker the layer becomes, resulting in longer color preservation.
Below is a brief comparison of the color durability of Ion Plating, PVD Vacuum Plating, and Water Galvanization.
| Electroplating Process | Feature | Metal Color | Color Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| No Electroplating | Stainless steel is a non-reactive metal, which means it does not oxidize or tarnish like other metals such as silver or brass. Hypoallergenic. | Stainless Steel Color | Tarnish resistant, retain its color for a long time |
| Vacuum Ion Plating(IP) | The vacuum plating process is complex and requires specific environmental and equipment conditions, making it a green, environmentally friendly technology. The plating is done in a vacuum oven, resulting in longer color retention and a durable coating. |
